Last week, I spent three days in Atlanta at International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). For a food and packaging veteran like me, this is the largest annual trade show for the poultry, meat and feed industries with a whopping 30,000 visitors each year. I’ve been attending IPPE for more than 25 years and watched it grow in its international reach to more than 7,000 visitors from over 103 countries.

Sealed Air recently attended the Global Food Safety Conference in Malaysia, where I had the honor to participate in a breakout session titled “Where Food Safety Meets Sustainability.” As a long-standing partner of the GFSI, Diversey Consulting, the Consulting arm of the Diversey Care Division of Sealed Air, organized a very interesting round table discussion in which food waste played a big role.

“Sustainability is the other name of quality,” said our CEO, Jerome Peribere, when he addressed guests at our customer dinner in Anaheim in California, during the recent Global Food Safety Conference.

I had the honor of hosting Diversey Care and Hygiene Care clients, along with Jerome and Karl Deily. More than 70 customers and several non-customers attended our evening event at the Bowers Museum.
