“You don’t build it for yourself. You know what the people want and you build it for them.” – Walt Disney
I came across this quote from the famed innovator Walt Disney while in Orlando for the recent ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America show. It resonated with me because this way of thinking is consistent with how Diversey Care views its role in the cleaning industry.
We must work to develop solutions that solve our customers’ key issues and help them attract additional business while creating a better way for life. We accomplish this by introducing solutions that make cleaning easier without compromising safety, sustainability or cost-competitiveness.
Throughout the show, our Diversey Care employees showed booth visitors how we are pushing the envelope when it comes to cleaning and disinfection. From wearable technology and machine-tracking solutions to smart dosing products and ergonomic tools, our innovations are improving the way cleaning is performed while keeping people, planet and profit in mind.
Our promise to be sustainable doesn’t go unnoticed. During the show, Diversey Care was recognized with an award from Green Seal to acknowledge our commitment to sustainable leadership. Many Diversey Care products have been certified by Green Seal and we will continue to meet their standards moving forward.
The show was also a platform for another important issue: the advancement of women in the industry. I am proud to be the chairperson for an advisory council within the newly created Hygieia Network, a women’s forum which will foster the development of female professionals in order to minimize existing gaps in equality.
