Podcast: Tackling Food Waste Reduction

As a leader in the food packaging industry, we recognize our responsibility in influencing food waste reduction for the future of our planet. It’s estimated that one out of every three calories that is produced for human consumption is wasted—enough to feed three billion people. Meanwhile, the average family spends $2,500 each year on food that is wasted. At Sealed Air, we’re motivated to change this story.

This month, I had the opportunity to talk with Jeff Gardner, president of North America Food Care, about some of these issues. This podcast is the first of many that we’re calling Food Care Conversations where we will discuss important topics, trends and innovations in the food packaging industry.
