Sealed Air Corporation Recognized for Contribution to the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program

Charlotte, NC, December 11, 2015 – Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE: SEE) today announced that its contributions to support American Red Cross disaster response work have been recognized by the organization with inclusion in their Disaster Responder Program. Members of the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program pledge donations on an ongoing basis, in advance of major disasters, to help the Red Cross ensure an immediate response to meet the needs of those affected by disasters of all sizes at no cost and regardless of income. 

“Ongoing financial support from Disaster Responder Program members, like Sealed Air, helps create a reliable funding base for disaster relief services, providing food, shelter, emotional support and other essential assistance,” said Don Herring, Red Cross chief development officer. “Money donated by the public and Disaster Responder members is essential to our ability to assist disaster survivors and support the first responders and volunteers who work tirelessly at the scene of a disaster. We are so very grateful to Sealed Air and its employees for their ongoing and very generous support.”  

Sealed Air is proud to have a long history of supporting the American Red Cross with both monetary donations for specific disasters, general relief funding and specific materials that can be used by disaster victims.  Recently, the Company donated $100,000 cash to the American Red Cross, earmarked for South Carolina flood aid. Additionally, in response to the flooding in South Carolina, the Company donated and delivered a truckload of recycled heavy duty plastic film that was used for shelter and construction tarps and 2,500 disaster response comfort kits that were packed by employees at (the ground breaking for Sealed Air’s new corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North June.
