Sun Basket Continues Development of Its Personal Choice Platform with Introduction of Premium Meat Selections
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Basket, a leading meal kit service delivering organic and sustainable ingredients with delicious, easy recipes weekly to your door, today announced the introduction of new premium protein options. Now, customers can swap in organic, grass-fed, grass-finished filet mignon and New York strip steak, as well as wild-caught halibut and jumbo shrimp, in lieu of the existing beef and salmon options on select recipes in its weekly menus, building on its vision of a personal choice platform to fit any consumer's lifestyle.
Beyond the additional menu options, consumers will also notice a different look outside and inside their weekly boxes, as the brand recently partnered with Sealed Air to reduce carton dimensions of its boxes by almost 25 percent. Sun Basket's advanced insulation packaging uses both post-consumer and post-industrial newsprint, which is 100 percent curbside recyclable. The brand's smaller packaging also enables trucks to carry over 30 percent more boxes per shipment than before, further reducing the brand's carbon footprint.
