Our People

Meet: Niranjan Desai – System Integration Manager

At SEE, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.

Where are you located: Mumbai, India.

How long have you been at SEE? Over eight years!

My career path to my current role was: I started my career at SEE as a Senior Service Engineer in Food Packaging in 2013. I am now the System Integration Manager.

The advice I would give to new employees is: SEE is a good company to work, learn, and grow at. Learn at every opportunity you get and always leave a good impression about your work. Hard work will always pay off.

Could you tell me a little about your current role? As System Integration Manager for India Subcontinent, my current role is in Equipment Sales & Integration (Business Development). I effectively manage all aspects of the System and Integration customer project, which includes all the following items: preparing the proposal; working with the sales team to support the SEE Solutions; design and drive SEE Solutions to meet the customer requirements; ensure that project tasks are delivered on time; and help with installation, training, and on-going support.

What’s your favorite part of your position? My favorite part of the position is collaborating with the team while working with different cross-functional departments. This position has given me the opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of senior leaders. With the current role, it keeps me in touch with the new technologies in the market and gives me the experience of interacting with different customers. I continuously learn through every project by facing new challenges whether it’s technology, customer requirements, or commercial aspects. I get the opportunity to interact with global team experts who support me in complex and challenging situations.

Has there been someone in your life that inspired you to become who you are today? Yes, my parents. My father was an Engine Assembler for Fiat Automobiles, and my mother was a housewife. Both made an effort for me and my brother to become engineers. During our journeys to do so, they never gave up on helping us to fulfill our dreams. Irrespective of the hurdles or problems in life, I have always seen them never giving up and working to find a solution to problems. My parents always encouraged me to fulfil my career and taught me never to give up in life.

They have helped shape me into who I am, and for that I say great thanks to my parents.

What is your favorite mantra or quote? I have several. A few of my favorites are:

“Work Hard in silence; let’s success be your noise.” This means If your plan is right and you are working in the right direction, know that nothing can come as a barrier between you and success.

“Focus on what you need to do. Sooner or later, you will reach your goals and will succeed.”

“Keep your spirits high.”

Do you have any hobbies or activities you like to do outside of the office? Outside of working hours, I spend time with my wife and my six-year-old son. Together we enjoy going for evening walks. I enjoy spending time in the evening with him during the alternate days in the week when he has football coaching sessions, and often times I take him to his coaching sessions. On Saturdays and Sundays I like to spend time watching a new movie or going out with my family.
