This unique system automatically positions and fills each bag with viscous liquid or slurry from the bottom, then advances it to the rotating vacuum chambers for vacuumizing and heat sealing the package. This process helps minimize air pockets to produce a very dense product ideal for slicing with no metal clip closure needed.
When using CRYOVAC® brand Cook-In Barrier Bags, this system offers 100% process yield with superior oxygen barrier and high integrity seals that protect product freshness, color, and flavor throughout distribution.
All CRYOVAC® brand Rotary Vacuum Chamber Systems qualify for the SEE™ Advanced Maintenance Program (AMP), a proactive, preventive maintenance plan that makes it easy to budget and schedule regular maintenance on your own terms, so you can avoid costly, lost production hours due to unexpected downtime.
The CRYOVAC® brand 8490 Vertical Rotary Vacuum Chamber Machine complies with FDA requirements for food packaging. Certificate available on request.

A vertical rotary vacuum system is designed specifically for packaging pumpable food products such as emulsions or formed and whole-muscle applications that are then cooked in the package. Specifically for emulsified foods such as processed deli meat, the vertical filling system helps eliminate air pockets to create a consistently shaped, dense loaf for slicing after the product is cooked.
The SEE™ Advanced Maintenance Program (AMP) is a proactive, preventive maintenance plan designed to increase uptime, enhance performance, and improve efficiency for select equipment models in our protective and food packaging portfolios.
Using SEE™ Smart Link technology, AMP offers a secure, cloud-based platform for processors to monitor real-time production data that is essential for improving process control and operational metrics.
The maintenance program includes a comprehensive service plan that features regularly scheduled equipment audits, reconditioning, and catastrophic parts protection for certain equipment models. With an affordable monthly service fee, AMP helps processors enhance production efficiency, maintain consistent maintenance expenses, reduce machine downtime and production disruptions, and lower energy costs.
